Description

Auxiliary companies in the shipbuilding sector have no choice but to consolidate their work and expand by opening new markets, especially international ones. The European shipbuilding industry needs to gain a competitive edge by offering products with a high degree of technology and complexity. Also of crucial importance are the procedures and processes that will improve productivity and reduce the time required for assembly and installation.

The main idea of this project, the design and production of containerised living modules, arises from two fundamental requirements. The first one is standardisation, which reduces costs as well as design and production time. On the other hand, there is a reduction in time as well as transport and installation costs. Here we are referring to limiting the weight and the range of items to install on board, a particularly expensive and complex task in the case of offshore installations.

In general terms, both needs have led to the development of this project. Our main concern has been to come up with design and production strategies related to modular accommodation in the form of containerised units. The combination of these two factors on board will meet customers' needs.
